How to play

  1. Make teams. Two to four teams, with at least two players per team. You can also leave the names empty.
  2. Choose a game mode and, if you like, the difficulty, number of words, time and number of rounds.
  3. The explainer holds the phone and presses start. Six words appear.
  4. Explain without saying the word. The rest of the team guesses. Tap a word as soon as it has been guessed.
  5. After sixty seconds a signal sounds. Check together which words were right and pass the phone to the next team.

Within each team the explainer changes every turn, so everyone gets a go. After the last round, the team with the most points wins.

A word guessing game like 30 Seconds, on your phone

Know the board game 30 Seconds? Then you know the idea: describe words while your team guesses, against the clock. Six in Sixty needs no board, cards or sand timer. One phone is enough, and there are always fresh words. Great as a party game at a birthday, a game night, on holiday or during the holidays.

30 Seconds is a trademark of its respective owner. Six in Sixty is not affiliated with it.

Rules

โœ… Describe the word with hints, examples and features.
โœ… Pointing, gestures and sound effects are allowed.
โŒ Saying the word or part of it.
โŒ Spelling the word or translating it.

Not sure whether something was allowed? Let the other teams decide. If the explainer accidentally says the word, that word doesn't count.

Everyone gets the same kind of general words. With Mix you get easy, medium and hard words together; you can also pick one level.

โš”๏ธ Battle of the Ages

Generations against each other. Older players get words from today; younger players get words from the past. So grandpa has to explain a TikTok dance and the teenager has to explain a cassette tape.

Kids explain easy words such as dog, ice cream and fire truck. Parents get words at the chosen difficulty. In this mode we show no ads and no consent message.

๐Ÿท๏ธ Categories

Play with words from one topic, such as Football (players, clubs and managers) or Nursing & healthcare (great for studying, with words like pressure ulcer, thrombosis and vital signs). You can pick the difficulty here too. Missing a topic, like your studies, sport or hobby? Tap Request a category in the game.

Holidays

Around the holidays the game automatically gets a festive look, with its own words, decorations and sounds. Don't want that? Switch it off with one toggle.

Tips

Frequently asked questions

How do I add the game to my phone as an app?

iPhone: open zesinzestig.nl in Safari, tap the share icon and choose Add to Home Screen. Android: open it in Chrome, tap the three dots and choose Install app or Add to Home screen.

Does it work without internet?

Yes. After you've opened it once, the game also works offline, for example on holiday or in a cabin without wifi.

I can't hear any sound.

Turn the volume up, and on an iPhone switch off silent mode. Use the Test the sound button on the rules screen to check beforehand.

What does it cost?

Nothing. The game is free. To keep it that way, a normal game sometimes shows one ad between turns, never while guessing and never in Parents vs Kids.

I get a phone call during my turn.

No problem: as soon as you leave the game, the timer pauses. You continue where you left off.
